My Curly Hair Routine (With Tutorial)

Peace and love to all of you beautiful souls! I have been on a mini hiatus because I've had a very busy summer, but I AM BACK and better than ever! Because I have been asked how I achieve my curly hair and what products I use, I decided to create a YouTube channel and make a video to show you guys.

I'm a natural college student on a budget. I like to get the products I love for the low. In order to achieve soft, bouncy curls, I use the L.O.C. Method, which stands for Liquid or Leave In, Oil, and Cream (click here for more information). Here is a list of the products that I use, how much they are, and where you can find them:

EDEN BodyWorks Coconut CoWash: I use this to clarify my scalp instead of shampooing. It gives a great clean feeling and it's great to detangle with in the shower if you forget to detangle previously. I bought mine from Sally's Beauty Supply for $7.19, which was awesome. They seem to always have a special for Eden products where you buy one and get one free and I take full advantage of it.

Aussie Moist Conditioner: I use this conditioner to help detangle my curls after clarifying my scalp. It brings curls to life and smells yummy. I bought mine from Target (which is one of my favorite stores), but this item can be purchased at any Walmart, drug store, or grocery store. I bought my 865 mL bottle for $5.39, which is reasonable.

EDEN BodyWorks Jojoba Monoi Deep Conditioner: This is my first jar. I like trying different brands of products before I decide to fully commit to one, but my curls seem to love it. I deep condition overnight with a plastic shower cap and rinse it out the next day or I will deep condition on the go. The only thing I don't like about it is the smell. It kind of reminds me of how my granny used to smell, which isn't bad. It just makes me miss her. Some people may not like the smell, but I can tolerate it. I bought mine from Sally's Beauty Supply for $7.99 with the BOGO Free special, which saved my pockets.

Tresumme Naturals Silicone-Free Conditioner: I use this "crack in a bottle" as my detangler after I get out of the shower and as my leave in. I bought mine from Walmart for about $2.95 when they were having a sale for Tresumme products. It can be purchased from any Target, drugstore, or grocery store as well.

Spectrum's Unrefined Organic Virgin Coconut Oil: I use this as a sealant. I love this brand when it comes to my oils! Even though it is on the pricy side. I paid $11.99 for this product from ShopRite. Yes, $11.99 for coconut oil! The reason why I don't mind paying that amount for it is because I don't like the smell of any other brand's. Other brand's coconut oils have a very strong coconut scent to them, which makes me feel nauseous. This brand has a faint smell of coconuts and my curls absolutely adore it. Keep in mind that a little goes a long way. You can buy any brand of coconut oil from any grocery store, including Whole Foods and Trader Joe's.

EDEN BodyWorks All Natural Coconut Shea Pudding Souffle: This is also my first jar and I love this product! I think that it's going to be a staple of mine. I use it to give my curls a soft hold. I only use a little amount because a little goes a long way with this product. It will also last you a very long time, which will help keep you from continuously spending money for more. I purchased this product from Sally's Beauty Supply for $7.99.

Remember, you don't have to strictly use the same products as I do. Use your favorite products that your curls love for this routine. The results may vary depending on texture.
